Problem Overview

๐ŸŸฃ Longest Balanced Subarray II

Difficulty: Hard

๐Ÿง  Problem Statement

You are given an integer array nums.

A subarray is called balanced if:

Number of distinct even elements

Number of distinct odd elements

๐Ÿ” Your task is to return the length of the longest balanced subarray.

๐Ÿงช Examples

Example 1

Input

[2, 5, 4, 3]

Explanation

  • Distinct evens โ†’ [2, 4]
  • Distinct odds โ†’ [5, 3]
  • Counts are equal โ†’ โœ… balanced

Output

4

Example 2

Input

[3, 2, 2, 5, 4]

Explanation

  • Distinct evens โ†’ [2, 4]
  • Distinct odds โ†’ [3, 5]
  • Balanced subarray = whole array

Output

5

Example 3

Input

[1, 2, 3, 2]

Explanation

  • Best balanced subarray โ†’ [2, 3, 2]
  • Distinct even = 1, distinct odd = 1

Output

3

Think & Arrange, Don't Just Copy-Paste

Drag and arrange the algorithm steps in the correct execution order instead of spending time typing code letter by letter.

Arrange the Algorithm Correctly ๐Ÿงฉ

The algorithm is divided into three logical parts. Carefully rearrange each section in the correct order to form a complete and valid solution.

Understand Below Algorithm

Don't Know Current Algorithm ? ย

Green text means the instruction is placed in the correct position.

Red text means the instruction is in the wrong position.

Block Colors

Instructions with the same background color indicate particular blocks start and end.

A tick mark means the instruction is correct and locked.

๐Ÿ”’ Locked steps cannot be moved. Only unlocked steps are draggable.

๐Ÿ”Š Enable sound for swap feedback and completion effects.
